Our Sparky Electrical & Data – Fan Replacement Giveaway Terms & Conditions

1. Promotion Overview
This giveaway is run by Our Sparky Electrical & Data to celebrate the launch of the business. One winner will receive one (1) DC ceiling fan plus labour to replace an existing fan, valued at $550.

2. Eligibility

  • Entry is open only to residents of the Tweed Shire, NSW.

  • Entrants must be 18 years or older.

  • Entrants must have an existing ceiling fan in place suitable for replacement.

  • The existing installation must be safe, compliant, and accessible for replacement.

  • Any works outside of a direct like-for-like fan replacement may incur additional charges (see section 6).

3. How to Enter
To enter, participants must:

  1. Comment on the official giveaway post with a photo of their existing fan.

  2. Be following the Our Sparky Electrical & Data Facebook page at the time the winner is drawn.

4. Giveaway Period

  • Entries open from the time the giveaway post is published.

  • Entries close at 11:59pm AEST on December 14th, 2025.

  • The winner will be drawn on December 15th, 2025.

5. Winner Selection

  • The winner will be chosen at random using a generator app.

  • The winner will be contacted via Facebook Messenger and must respond within 48 hours.

  • If no response is received, a new winner will be drawn.

6. Electrical Compliance Requirements

  • The existing ceiling fan must be on a compliant circuit suitable for a like-for-like replacement.

  • The circuit must be protected by a compliant RCD (safety switch) in accordance with Australian Standards.

  • If the circuit is not currently RCD-protected, one can be installed at a discounted rate exclusive to this giveaway.

  • If the installation is unsafe, illegal, or requires additional corrective work, this will be discussed with the winner before any work proceeds. Additional work is not included in the prize.

7. Prize Details

  • Prize includes:

    • One (1) brand-new DC ceiling fan

    • Labour to remove the existing fan and install the new fan

  • Prize does not include:

    • New wiring, switches, alterations, or upgrades

    • Rectification of unsafe or non-compliant wiring

    • Additional hardware beyond a standard fan replacement

  • The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

8. Scheduling of Work
Installation must occur within Tweed Shire and will be scheduled at a mutually suitable time. Work must be completed within 60 days of the winner being selected.

9. Limitation of Liability
Our Sparky Electrical & Data is not responsible for:

  • Incorrect, incomplete, or late entries

  • Facebook outages or technical issues

  • Any damage to the entrant’s property beyond what is reasonably foreseeable during normal fan replacement work
